Weekend of birthdays, Race for the cure & fun!

This weekend was quite a lot of craziness
Started on Friday with my man's bday =) he is not a big 2-2. It was his weekend to do, eat and any wish come true. he wanted to see the new movie, Trouble with a curve. Which i scored on an awesome GROUPON (Kinda obsessed) for a movie theater that you can drink at
-- ONE WORD: best worst idea ever----

Then we ended up at downtown Disneyland getting drinks, yummy mexican food, balloon hats.. End with one happy boy =)

got to catch up on sleep & run errands on Saturday (send hungover)
Then Sunday we Particapted in the Susan G. Komen Breat Cancer 5K, we ran a 5k earlier this year in San Francisco GGP (goldern gate park) this time it was a WALK because it was about 102 degrees!
Either way it was amazing to join in on to help this important cause to us.

After the walk we went to visit my hometown and had a home cooked meal of doug's choice.
all - in - all
Great weekend

Be a Force of Beauty

My last semester of college i worked 2 jobs, one of being at the well known company Bare Essentials aka Bare Minerals. This was such a great experience and gainned knowledge about makeup and how to wear it

The foundation is all natural minerals
Its easy to put on and feels natural. That is why I choose to work for the company because i believed in the product.

Matte & Original (I got my best friend hooked =)) Not my best look but this was 8pm & i did my makeup about 6am!!

never have any major problems. Through many client has worries about looking "dry" or cakey"
Solution
1. using the right brush also makes a big difference.
2. Buff BUFF buff (circle motion)

Other Keys
Primer (Smooths any skin imperfections so that the minerals goes on perfectly) & Mineral Veil (makes application look more natural, diminishes pores) When this perfect combination of great stuff for all kinds of skin.

By far the best part: come with SPF 20

First you have to decide if you have normal skin, dry skin or oil skin (or some kind of mix)
Myself I am normal to dry (blessed with pretty good skin from my momma!)

Pick the Finnish
Either Matte or Original.

Matte is more of a flat & Flush Finnish (better for combo to oil skin)
Original is more a glowing Finnish (better for dry-normal)

a few tips I picked up... If you have a darker complexion then use matte... if you are older and worried about the mineral laying on your skin use original.

That all for now, I post more about my MAKEUP knowledge in the weeks to come!

Cockpot French Dip Sandwhichs

USE: Crock-Pot® The Original Slow Cooker

Tonight 2 of my best girlfriends are coming over dinner, We switch off making dinner on Wednesday nights, So what do i make?

French Dip Slow Cooked Steak Sandwiches

All you need
1 2.5-3 lb. beef roast (you can use a frozen roast if you want)
2 Tbsp. olive oil
salt and pepper
2 1-ounce packages dry onion soup mix
2 c. water
2 cans beef broth
6-8 large buns (or more…6 would be VERY generous servings!)
Swiss, provolone, or mozzarella cheese, shredded or sliced.

Heat oil in a large pot over medium-high heat and rub roast with salt and pepper.
browning it quickly on all sides to add flavor and seal in the juices

Place in crockpot and sprinkle with onions soup mix. Pour water and beef broth over roast.

I cooked it ALL NIGHT, but make sure to cook 8-10 hours on low or cook 4-5 hours on high and another 3-4 hours on low. It’s hard to screw this part up; basically, the longer it cooks, the more tender it will be.

Let sit on OFF, for about 1 hour then Shred meet (should fall apart)

Place meat in crusty rolls. Top with cheese and broil open-faced in the oven or toaster oven for a few minutes, until bread is golden and cheese is melty

Use excess juice as dip.
More pictures to come!
ENJOY

New Beginnings

The start is the hardest part of anything!
A little about me i am a recent college graduate from San Francisco State University! I recently made the move back to Southern California Where I grew up, Which if you ever been to California NORTH VS. SOUTHERN are two very different places. I lived in the city, i rode subways and buses, went out all the time and loved the city energy.  Now i live in Orange Country, which all about open spaces, remembering how to avoid parking tickets, cooking dinner and decorating.

Recently Moved in with my college sweetheart.
Looking for a job.
Meeting new people.
 All of this!
the life as a sorority girl embracing the next chapter of life!
Starting now

Ciao
